ADOPTION PROCESS

The proposed South and Southeast Los Angeles Community Plans are in the Adoption Process. The steps to adoption are as follows:

​

 STEPS TO ADOPTION: 

 

Open House & Public Hearings: December 3 and 6, 2016.

​​

City Planning Commission (CPC): CPC recommended approval of the proposed South and Southeast LA Community Plans on June 22, 2017.

​

Planning and Land Use Management (PLUM) Committee: November 21, 2017.

​

City Council:

November 22, 2017: City Council voted to adopt the Community Plans and instructed the City Attorney to review  the proposed Community Plan Implementation Ordinance (CPIO) and Zoning Ordinance, which will return to City Council for adoption at a later date. 

​

 

December 12, 2018: City Council voted to adopt the South Los Angeles and Southeast Los Angeles CPIO Ordinances and Zoning Ordinances, which became effective on December 29, 2018.
