Virtual Open House - South & Southeast LA Community Plans
PROCESS TO UPDATE A COMMUNITY PLAN

The Community Plan update process for South and Southeast Los Angeles began in 2007 with a survey of the land uses of the Plan Areas. This was followed by three phases of community outreach held from 2008 to 2009 throughout South & Southeast LA to identify community concerns. Conceptual plans were drafted using the public input received. The conceptual plans were presented at two community-wide public workshops in October and November of 2009. The plans then went into the technical phase of the process starting in 2010. An additional round of briefings with area Neighborhood Councils and interested organizations took place in 2013/2014.

Community Plan Advisory Committees (CPACs)

The South and Southeast Los Angeles Community Plans have Community Plan Advisory Committees that were established in 2008 to review and advise the Planning Department throughout the New Community Plan process. The CPACs consist of community stakeholders including residents, business owners, and representatives of community organizations that were appointed by the designated Council Offices. The members of the CPACs have devoted countless hours to the Community Plan Updates.
Thank you CPAC members!
